Opportunity knocked.
I dared to answer, with no fear.
The door slammed shut and locked tight.
The window closed and the shades drew tight.
As quickly as it arrived it left....
As did the hopes and dreams....leaving a soul in pain......
trust shattered....
bonds torn assunder....
The well is empty....run dry.....
I pray for rain....for the well to replenish....
For hope to spring anew....
